It may be something that the previous owner did because the vehicle had had a front end collision. How can I close this gap?

You can adjust the big bracket (#12) to align the bumper. You can reach it by just removing the turn signal on sedans. On coupes, you might need to remove the headlights.

Is bracket accessed differently for a 2005 ZHP convertible?

Should be the same as coupe. Just remove what you need to get your fingers and a ratchet in there.

I discovered that the bumper cover was not in the bracket at all. Just adjusting the bracket got it closer to proper alignment. Will try the combination of the two main torx bolts and the bracket to see if I can get it closer.

I two main torx bolts are female ... I wonder if this is normal? Galapolis what type and size of bolt did you encounter. Again, I have 2005 ZHP convertible.

Thanks, I'll try that. How much movement do to achieve from the two main bolts.

Since the repair shop could not get the bumper cover to align they drilled holes to attach the ends of the cover. I am contemplating whether I'm just swimming up stream and should just align as best I can and use a bolt/screw with a nut to secure it perfectly. Obviously not what it should be but the holes are already exist.
