"Love my 05 ZHP 6 speed with 140k miles. The M54 straight 6 is very reliable if you keep up with scheduled maintenance, and don’t neglect the cooling system, lots of plastic there. The 6 spd trans should be issue free, unlike the cars with the GM automatic tranny. On any E46 you’ll be addressing a minor oil leak or faulty window regulator from time to time, but when you drive the ZHP you’ll understand why owners easily get over any minor issues."

Thank you guys.

I did a PPI and there is some delayed maintenance work. The expansion tank and Thermostat are due for replacement and I might just replace the hoses and water pumps. The oil pane is seeping, but the seller said that he did not notice any fluid drops on the drive way. I will need to spend some money to refresh the car (already got a list of things to replace, mostly internal plastic pieces), and may get rid of some of the after market audio system. Nothing major though.

The car has been loaded onto the truck this afternoon. Will certainly report back when I receive it.
