    Final numbers for 2022

ZHP: 162,598-161,857=741 guess 1,500 so 759 miles short

    M235i: 22,096-20,240=1,856 guess 2,800 so 944 miles short

    4Runner: 18,471-5,342=13,129 guess 10,000 so 3,129 miles over

240 Sun Deck: 122.4-104.5=17.9 guess 30 so 12.1 hours short

This was actually pretty close with total miles over guess only being 1,426 miles with the most on the DD 4Runner

I ended at exactly 91,000 miles as I pulled into the driveway my friend's beach house on the Oregon Coast.

Mileage at end of 12/31/22: 91,000
    Mileage on 01/01/22: 86,666
    Total miles driven 2022: 4,334
    Estimated mileage for 2022: 7,500
Percent difference in estimated vs. actual: -42%

I chalk that inaccuracy up to having no clue as where I would land for residency and what that would look like in terms of driving.

2005 sedan - 171,589. I would guess that 5k miles will be a good estimate.

2005 Mersedes Sprinter camper van - 235,651. I will say it will be 2k since I am planning to put it for sale in spring of this year.

    2022 final numbers are following:

2005 touring - 208,681. I was way off my prediction and did 17,599 miles

    2005 sedan - 178,307. I was off by 1k and did 6,718

2005 Sprinter - sold it in October with 238,165.

    Changes in fleet:
2002 M3: I bought it in February with 105,804 and only put 904 miles. It is a project car, even though it was registered and fully drivable.

2005 X5 4.8IS: bought it in August with 153,777 miles and did finished year with 156,243. Total mileage driven - 2,466.

How's Peterman's old touring doing? Glad it's seeing so many miles!

Also congrats on the M3, how much work is needed?

Peterman's touring is running great and makes me happy driving it. Oil consumption increased recently. Rust is slowly growing on various places. Otherwise, it is great.
M3 mechanically is great! There is crazy amount of rust. It is upstate NY car that has been in multiple accidents and poorly repaired. I bought with intent to make s54 touring. Unfortunately, shell is not salvageable. So, is my zhp touring.
Here are the two rust buckets on the first day I bought M3.
How is life in CA? I see you also like biking?
Here is my stress relief tool, calories burner and Sunday morning joy tool.

Nice Cannondale! How do you like those Zipp wheels? Not planning to swap out of my Schimanos any time soon, but have never ridden a bike with the deeper section aero wheels

Glad to hear it's running well! Sucks to hear about the rust - is the touring really that bad? I was skimming the thread where he had a bunch of paintwork done to it. If not S54 touring, what's the new plan?

Yeah, I got into road biking back in May, since I have some family friends with bikes and was pretty impressed after trying one of theirs out. It's definitely a good way to stay healthy, I'd rather go out and explore than lift weights in a gym. Lately it's been raining a lot, but hoping to get back out next weekend, and there is an abundance of bike lanes and nice roads out here!

I have 45 mm deep wheels (ICAN) and maybe I'm too much of a noob, but I didn't really feel that much difference. Regardless, as a new rider I was blown away by how far I could freewheel on both my old (Mavic Aksium) and new wheels.

    Thanks!
I absolutely love these wheels. I just bought them this past summer as my racing wheels. They are 60 mm.
Bike is noticeably quicker and handling is better. I didn't notice any penalty on climbing steep sections of VA mountains. I only used them several times. But, every time I am moving away from my stock Mavick training wheels, the difference in my bike ride is significant.
I forgot to say that bike become a tiny bit more comfortable as well.

Glad to hear that you like biking. Weight lifting is not for me.
There is a lot of rust, which can be repaired, but it will cost me a fortune. Two years ago front right jack point collapsed. Both rear arches are bad. There are rust bubble spots on both A pillars. There are other rust bubble spots on the body. All 4 doors and rear hatch are badly rusted. Doors can be replaced though.
I am settled on full S54 touring, minus body work, for sure. That is why I bought that rusty M3. It has been registered and insured in 2022. Last week, I canceled the registration and planning to start taking M3 apart.
Pizza men saw it in person. I think he said something funny about me collecting rust. Which is kind of true. Botond actually drove it for a bit.
I really need to start a thread about this one.....
