    Just hit the 10K mark on parts and labor

    I was going through my receipt last week. I have owned the car for 6 years, have put 4K miles on it, and have put in close to 11K in parts and maintenance - at this point it is pretty much a new car with only 53K miles on it

    John - a lot of the work was done due to age and not mileage - like suspension, cooling, control arms, etc. I had a lot of work done last spring so I knew the car would be safe to drive when we moved from Florida to NC

    That's quite the comprehensive list! I think I just reached the 10k mark myself, though a lage chunk of that is tires and labor. I have my fingers crossed that it won't be needing anything for a good while.

    I am way wayyy passed that mark lol Even though I saved a shitload on labor DIYing almost everything

    I have well over $20k on my sedan, but $15k was the first owner doing all his service at the dealership for the first 15 years.
