Pros: Lots of maintenance! Mechanically this car is in great shape for the age and mileage, see the list below. I’ve tried to keep this car running its best and take care of some preventative maintenance as well. I have done almost all of the cooling system, belts, pulleys, plus the VCG and OFHG, engine mounts, and the previous owner did a lot more. Some tasteful mods include: 10mm wheel spacers on the rear, Koni FSD shocks, angel eyes, CDV delete. It’s mostly a well-cared-for stock car.

Cons: Cosmetically the car shows its age a little bit. The biggest issue is that the clear coat is starting to fail on the roof, side mirrors, door handles, and just above the doors. There are rock chips on the hood and the headliner is sagging a bit over the rear seats. The A,B,C pillars aren’t terrible but could stand to be recovered with the headliner (a local shop quoted me $475 to do all of these and the driver’s seat bolster). The trim above the rear passenger door needs to be reattached with new clips in the back, but doesn’t appear to be broken. It’s still a great looking car, I wish I could have garaged it since I owned it but haven’t had the opportunity. The only mechanical issue I know of is the oil pan gasket leaks, like every old BMW.

The car has a salvage title. The previous owner told me that a limb fell on the back window of the car. You’ll notice in the pictures that the cover for the 3rd brake light is missing, due to the fact that the mounting holes for the clips are deformed from the tree damage. In 5 years of ownership I mostly forget about it.

There are some extra bits included with the car including intake boots, coolant hoses, spark plugs, transmission mounts, shorter wheel bolts for the rear (if you want to remove the spacers), center console tray and clutch bushing. All are parts I had intended to use or had ordered and never got around to returning.

I’m willing to take my time selling the car to find a good home for her. She’s been good to me and will keep delivering lots of smiles to her next owner!
