    Beisan Systems

RIP Beisan Systems founder Rajaie Qubain. From June Roundel.

I do have two of his Vanos system in my ZHP and the E39 530i.

Wonderful, engineered machinery. Still going strong. Knock on wood.

    Thanks.
    Lawrence

Found his obituary. Looks like he passed from COVID related complications in February. He will be sorely missed by the BMW community.

Yeah, there's a thread on e46fanatics about it. His sister, which helped found the company with him, has taken over operations since. RIP Raj.

That's really sad. He did a great service. I have his rubber in my VANOS.

RIP to a great guy who did a lot for the community. The only silver lining of this is that since all of the R&D has already been done, his sister can keep the manufacturing going for quite a long time. I've lost track of how many Vanos units I've rebuilt at my shop... hundreds of M62tu units, dozens of M50/M52 units, a few S54 units, and a few S62 units.
