    I've seen alot of M-tech II 325s and 330s with the SMG trans.

    Having driven both the M3 and 330 with SMG, as mentioned above they are not the same by any stretch. The 330 SMG was a huge disappointment and very slow to shift compared to the M3 SMG. Not recommended especially if one were to pay for a SMG swap which would be quite expansive.

    Are you sure you saw 325s with SMG? I could have sworn only 330s got them.

    A 325Ci SMG has been in my garage more than once. Did the guys vanos, an I am now trying to sell his rims.

    Test drove a 325 with SMG before I pulled the trigger on my car. I wasn't impressed, especially coming from my M3 SMG. If I were to do it, I would definitely swap in an M3 SMG, just make sure you get an SMG drive shaft as well.
