Fixed the weisslicht halo with a bit of solder today. Took ring out removed backing on ring and redid the connection between the two circuit boards. Full circles are all working.

At the Mafia meet on 06/07/15 in Mason Ohio, and at 99K miles, I changed the rear shocks (to Koni STR-T) cause one of them was leaking.

Also changed the shock mounts (sachs) and installed reinforcement plates.

    Total was $211 from ECS.

    Got a P2231 error code.

^ Thanks! how could I forget that! It has made the car nicer to drive.

This may be the first deviation from "stock"!

I have Konis and CDV delete now (* done at MafiaFest2015 by Shawn).

    Hit 100,000 miles this week!

Averaged 29.4 MPG (from cluster) driving near the speed limit (+/- 10) with AC on.

Added a half quart oil (~3000K miles since last oil change).

Wish me luck as I tackle the front suspension now. I will be putting in the Koni STR T in the front. Bought new bump stops (Rein), upper strut mounts (Lemforder) and reinforcement plates (Genuine BMW). $364 shipped from ECS.

Got a 22 mm socket and a pipe wrench to tighten the struts. Spent time looking for the spark plug/ oxygen sensor 7/8th inch to no avail. Everything I found would not go into the upper strut mount. So pipe wrench over the 22 mm deep socket will have to do while I hang on to the shaft of the strut with an allen key.

Friend is letting be borrow spring compressors.

Also will rotate tires (~4K miles since I put them on). Car has 100,800 miles now.

Remove the entire strut assembly first, put your spring compressors on, then use an impact wrench to remove the nut on top. Piece of cake...

Yes, not worried about disassembling, I can put vice grips on the shaft of the old shock. I just keep reading it is not advisable to use an impact wrench on the new shocks.

As such, I found a way to do it gently without buying this:
