Recap of second year of ownership total at ~$1500 (including oil change and miscellaneous stuff).

    Start 3rd year

Data before/after on the alignment done at the dealer for $160:

Not bad, assuming it had never been done.

Noticed an oil leak behind alternator area and suspected OFHG leak.

    Sure enough:

The gasket cost $5. I also replaced the crank vent hose down to the CCV $15. Oil change $60.

    Car has 76k.

At 77K miles, refreshed ATF in power steering reservoir with a quart of Valvoline maxlife Dex/Merc ATF.

I asked my dealership if power steering fluid was a regular replace item and he said he thought it was lifetime fluid. Ugh, I hate when they say that. What's the general rule for it here?

I don't know really what it should be but I figured it was due. It was dark red. I think it is exchanged maybe every 50 K miles?

I might insist then. Especially if it's dark red. Is it supposed to be clear or something?
