    Clear bumper reflectors

I just bought an Mystic Blue 2004 ZHP coupe. The previous owner made a few tasteful adjustments, but I'm not a huge fan of the amber bumper reflectors he left in place since the car is clear everywhere else.

Here is wat the bumper looks like from the front.

    Questions.

    1) Which bumper model is this (just for my reference)?
    2) If I wanted to clear out the (currently amber) bumper reflectors, where would I go about doing that? Bimmian looks like they've got clears for $65 here but somehow that seems like a steep price for this.
    3) What is involved in swapping out the reflectors? Do I need to remove the bumper? What tools are needed?
    4) What are your opinions on clear vs body color for the reflector replacements?

    Thanks much.

You have the M tech II bumper (comes stock with the ZHP).

Our amber reflectors came stock on the ZHP coupe. I had mine painted. You can see a picture of my project thread here.

I bought a second OEM BMW reflector set for the bumper and had a body shop paint them imola red. See the results in my projects thread. I prefer the body color for the replacement (but that's me; it's a personal decision for sure).

Getting the reflectors out is not difficult. You just slide them over and pull out.

Finally, definitely check out this FAQ for the ZHP on the site. I think you'll find it very useful.

Any suggestions on where to buy the clear reflectors, or is the $65 set from Bimmian about par for the course?

I can't see clear bumper reflectors looking very good at all on a black coupe, so I'm going to order some painted reflectors from Khoalty.

Anyone have pictures of these on a jet black coupe? I can't imagine it looking very good, but they're so much cheaper.. I'll probably end up going with painted reflectors anyways.

Bump! I have a question: Are the ones the ZHP coupe needs the 04-06 coupe fitment, or are they the same reflectors the pre-facelift and M3 coupes have?

The 04-06 sport bumper has visually longer looking reflectors, I don't want to order the wrong ones.

IIRC, I bought the M3 ones.
