She's actually totally crazy, but we've known her forever so she became our problem

Vesper Lynd was the original “Bond girl” from Ian Fleming’s first James Bond book, Casino Royale. She embodies the femme fatale role about as well as any literary character I’ve encountered, and Eva Green nailed it in the movie. Bond also names what became his signature “shaken, not stirred” martini the Vesper.

For anyone who’s never read the books, I highly suggest them. He’s pretty dark, and there’s a ton of character depth. They are a far cry from the gadgety, over-the-top movies full of witty one-liners and puns.

    Very Nice!

We were just up there last week. Took SR-9 across Vermont & New Hampshire for a wedding on the cost in Rye. Beautiful area up there.

I read all your posts - I was gong to reach out to you when you were traveling, but I was unfortunately headed in the opposite direction at the same time for vacation at Niagara-on-the-Lake on Lake Ontario Canada. I also took Route 9 across Vermont (in both directions) just for that Route 9 drive and for that view from the top of Hogback Mountain near Brattleboro

Glad to see you enjoyed a New England clam bake!

Thanks! Glad to hear you were heading to someplace as nice as that. I grew up in the Buffalo area and did spend some time up there when I was young AND Beer wasn’t so outrageous.

NOTL on Canada is a huge winery area, and a very interesting and savvy art community. We did a B&B, then went to the the annual Shaw Festival and saw some terrific plays. Food was outstanding (plus the great exchange rate). Rode my Trek bicycle 45 miles round trip up to Niagara Falls on Saturday 7/7 (had to do it). 67 year old legs won't win the Tour de France but still getting me to some sweet places (and I slept like a log that night).

The entire area reminds me a bit of Cape Cod or maybe Martha's Vineyard, or even Door County north of Green Bay. All great tourist spots
