Is that how you feel about the E36, E90 and F80 M3 sedans too?

I’ll admit I prefer coupe M3s to sedans (E36 M3/2 over the M3/4, E92 over the E90, F82 M4 over the F80 M3). I’ll even concede I prefer E46 facelift headlights on the sedan over PFL. But to call what Shawn has done anything short of a work of art is mind boggling.
And fwiw, BMW is embarrassingly putting M badges on everything these days. Hell, you’ll be able to get an M from the factory on each fender of a 320i if you check the right boxes when you order it. Shawn has an S54B32 under the bonnet. He’s he’s not a poseur, he’s absolutely earned that badge.

I think the e90 M3 is the only one that gives me the warm fuzzies.

i have a friend like this... he actually loves my car and pushed me to do a lot of the things i did but when it came time to sell his ZHP Sedan because he wants all m3 from each generation... he wanted the COUPE. even though my Sedan has everything literally everything and more than his "new to him" e46 m3 ZCP package.. he told me "nope sorry your car doesnt have WSB VIN and i only want WSB vin cars even tough your car has everything from an M3".
some people are just like that, they only like the technically accepted models that have WSB on them and nothing else can come close. This is the mind set of a lot of old school BMW heads and its ok. those same people would rather have an US Spec e36 M3 sedan with the wimpy S52 in it just because it has WSB VIN.
right now my car is a bastard child lol not a ZHP but not an M3.. it is my own creation and it is what it is... its a love it or hate it.
