    Definitely don't let that experience paint a picture of paddle shifters for you. As a couple of folks have said, the Z is very outdated. Anything modern with a paddle shift, such as any BMW with the 8-speed auto, a car with double clutch, etc. will feel much better.

    Tbh it wasn’t even the gearbox so much as it was the computer controlling it, but that’s also a reflection of its age. Unless I win the lotto I can’t ever imagine myself tracking anything with a DCT/newer flappy paddles so I’m not too worried about it.

    MTrack days... I was able to drive M2, M3 and M4 (all dtc) on track at Monticello for $250. Your speed would be limited to the slowest person in the group but at least you’d get a taste of how they are to drive..

    Nearly everything is auto now. Very few manuals.
