How does one qualify for to be a lurker???? I haven't posted in a really long time.....Don't own e46 much less a ZHP.......I do own BMW's though....

[I] think I may qualify as a lurker as I am kind of shopping for a ZHP. 20 year BMWCCA member. Anyway, here is my question: Do the cars that have around 100,000 or so start to exhibit some of the problems one does not normally think of, such as seats getting worn (and not just upholstery) door hinges and things like that. I currently have an Audi A6 with about 155,000 that is still fairly tight. I found an 04 coupe with 105,000 for $10,500, 6 speed. I passed on a really nice auto last fall for $18,000 with about 35,000. So, in my mind, do I search and find the lower mileage car and spend more? OR, at 100,000, I know it will need suspension, but then that is all new parts. On the afore mentioned Audi, I waited until it shimmied before doing the work. Should have done sooner, as it made a world of difference. Sorry for the long ramble

You should be able to find a find example, around 100k miles, with all necessary maintenance completed.
