e46 Sedan Door Tweeter Cover Removal?

So I pulled off the grills on the larger speakers to paint (Trying to add some more black to my overly beige interior) and I cant get the smaller speaker grills off the front and rear doors. Im past the "reasonable force" point and I don't want to break them.

I know I can just buy them in Black (Schwarz lol) but id like to try painting them first.

    Anyone ever pull em off?

    Thanks
    -ADAM

Yeah, it's kind of a PITA. Be careful not to break the clips on the door panel. I broke so many clips on my E36 door panel when I replaced my tweeters
