    You sure you don't accidentally have the polarity reversed or something?

    Try applying +12v directly to the knob

    Ha! You're exactly right. I didn't look very carefully, but the + and negative off the harness were backwards from the knob. That's silly.

    what is the shift knob in the very first post? thats not the $200+ F10 M5 knob that everyone is getting now. is it the leather Z version?
