Also, man that's one hell of a commute. 60 miles and 90 mins each way? That you have car poolers piled into an E30 for that is pretty funny.

Unfortunately, I don't know if/how the fix translates to e46s/ZHPs. Fixes like this seem more likely with "older" parts.I'm not eager to find out, either. I hope the concept helps others.
