Ahh you're right. I would go for the new wheel but damn, I've already spent near $1k on mods and I've only had the car for two days!

$1k is a good start. Just do what you can, when you can. Take your time.

From the Colby Wheels website regarding core charges:

Core Charge for 6 Speed Wheels: BMW E46 M3 steering wheel may fit other models. Please check with dealer for fitment.
Please note this purchase requires a core exchange. After using buy it now, wait for us to send you an invoice with an extra $150.00 for the core deposit. We will refund the deposit back to you as soon as we receive the same like core. Customer is required to ship return core certified/signature confirm to ensure receipt (Please return it within 14 days for full credit) Core returned must be in good useable/wrap able condition: no scratches, no chunks missing, airbag holes not torn etc.

Hope this answers your question. Either way going this route is still way cheaper than buying a brand new wheel from the dealership...

It looks great. Unfortunately with my budget, a wheel cover from wheel skins is about as much as I can do.

I hope one day down the road they'll offer leather rewrapping. That would be sweeeeeeeeet.
One thing's for sure though; if they do offer it one day down the road, I'll be going to Coby Wheel for my rewrap.
