I started monitoring the site with Sitemeter on November 27, 2010. I take these stats and throw them into an Excel spread sheet every morning.

I am monitoring day-over-day visit growth as well as page-view growth during the same period. I am also monitoring week-over-week growth for page views and visits. Eventually, I will monitor monthly traffic statistics.



During the first three days of this week (the week we're in right now), we saw our three largest traffic days -- both in terms of visits and page views.

Outside of these stats, members are spending 22 minutes and 38 seconds on the site during each visit. Members are viewing about 19 pages per visit.

We're working with a small sample at this point but I imagine that we'll have about 100,000 to 120,000 page views during December. We'll have about 6,000 visits.

It will be interesting to see what these numbers look like six months from now.

We could bring in more traffic easily. Facebook is a great place for free advertising. Start a 'page' and/or a 'group' on there, those are simple to manage. I started a page for my coin business and I have some 150 people subscribed to it. Every time an update goes out, all their friends see it as well. 500 million people are on facebook.

I think what I might do with FB is post a popular thread there. Then people, if they're inclined, can come here. Most of the FB users are members here now.
