    The ZHP Destroyer

    Howdy!

I came on board here because we have acquired 2 ZHP's for parts in the past year and I wanted more information on them, specifically production totals. Cool site thus far!

I am a full-time professional BMW specific dismantler in NH and have over 20 years of BMW specific parts, service and sales under my finger nails. I'll try to remain editorial vs. advertorial in my postings here. If you have any questions about parts, services, repairs, how-to's etc, I'm always game to assist anyone. Shoot me a message and I'll try to get back to you in 48-72 hours.

    Keep It Over 100MPH!

    Hi Dane,

That's going to be a really really tough one. On one side you have a specialist dismantler like myself that would persue these cars and part them and know to save items such as ZHP specific alcantara seats, but the general dismantler using the same base inventory system that all of us use wouldn't even know of or think otherwise about seats and seat sets. I have seen mountains of seats get crushed including sport seats, vader seats, etc. simply because the standardized inventory system does not provide adequate accomodation or parts interchange data for seats! Sad!

For this particular request I would have to leave the seat set whole, i.e. fronts/rear together and likely with the door panels as well to appeal to clients looking or an upgrade or possibly an insurance company looking for a complete interior from a fire, etc. Based upon that and the simple lack of other general dismantlers not paying attention to these types of parts, my professional opinion is that if the part is still supported new through BMWAG, that you should likely just acquire this one new regardless of new list price. Sometimes it just is what it is. It only hurt once .
