    Seals and Rattle Kit

"If you read up on the ZHP VANOS, the seals come failed from the factory. By the time you get to 20,000 miles, they're completely shot. The rattle, for some reason, is more significant on the ZHP's.

Rajaie developed the rattle kit and seals, it should fix your problems."

Don't have the rattle but was wondering what the failed seals may mean for our cars, and if its something that we should do something about.
It's finally time to settle down,

The failed seals mean loss of low end torque, low end hesitation, surging above 3k, and sometimes stalling when starting from a stop, especially with the AC is on.

All of us have a Vanos with some level of reduced performance unless aftermarket seals have been installed.

No one escapes the bad seals, some will escape the rattle.

I'll be doing the seal and rattle kit from Beisan next summer.

Oh, seals and RATTLES, not Seals and Croft. Oh well. I'll be looking into my Beisan vanos kit before the year is out.

I just installed both of these and its time consuming but the information is well laid out and the work is straight forward. I did not have any rattle but installed the rattle kit, and tolleranced everything, for grins and giggles and my seals were the oem... boy is it nice to have that low end torque back!

Nice job, Chad, I also recently did the anti rattle/seal kit refresh on my vanos. Gave me some improved low end torque and peace of mind. I figured since I had to replace my valve cover gasket mine as well get the vanos out of the way. Pay me now or pay me later.
