    Securing/Silencing accessories installed behind glovebox

I have a dice Mediabridge installed behind my glovebox.

After I installed it, I noticed an occasional rattle coming from that part of the car. At this point, the Mediabridge is just "loose" there on one of the while plastic accessory shelves. I have a hunch that the rattling noise is the whole Mediabridge bouncing around on that shelf.

I think this because when I first installed the unit, I had lots of extra cable that I stuffed around the box to get them out of the way. These held the unit firm and there was no rattle. Later, I rerouted my cables to look better, but this left the unit less-firmly-wedged into place, and that's when the rattle began.

So the question is, with an accessory installed in this area, how do you suggest securing it so that it doesn't rattle around? I could ziptie it down to the plastic shelf...I could get some pieces of rubber and wedge the unit into place...any other suggestions?

    Thanks.

Old socks may do the trick. Some bubble pack too.

Buy industrial velcro or zip tie it. Keep it professional and durable.
