    Carbon Fiber Vinyl Experience

As you all know I had some fake Carbon fiber vinyl put on to cover the bottom of the bumper where it really needed new paint. Well after 6 months or so.. I pulled it off.

The glue was failing so I decided might was well give up on the cheap solution. Next stop a good body shop to have the bumper redone.

    Oh Well.

Probably not - will find someone to do it right. Car is just a weekend fun car as I changed assignments at work and the furthest it goes is 10 mile to the airport except when I take it for a drive or running errands so this will remain a very low milage ZHP.

However I would encourage anyone thinking about using the carbon vinyl -- DON'T

Right, but that price includes removal and reinstall.

Seems to be a pretty typical price, at least by my area's standards. Our body shop prices are up there as well...

In San Diego it would be about $400. So, Jon, your quote seems reasonable (by San Diego standards).

Well picked the shop to do the work. They specialize in high end Euro cars - BMW, Benz, Porsche, Bentley, Ferrari etc. They are going to redo bumper, paint the grill, color match the surrounds on the fogs. The only questions left -- do I get rid of the reflectors??
