Yeah-- time for you to start planning to get out of there, Kyle.

Looking like some strong potential to hit you as a CAT 3 on Saturday.

    Definitely no good.

While I'm running around today making preps for the command, when things come to mind....I may post them here.

With that said...aside from all of the generic preps, ensure...

    1. You have full tank of gas. Pumps won't work without power.

    2. Ensure you have cash, as cash registers and ATM's won't work without power. Many places will make cash work in an emergency.

It is looking pretty bad. I'm going to get with the folks to see what the plan is. It could be interesting.

Just got this from the state OEM conference:

For NJ-- Passage 70-100 miles offshore as a Cat 2.

Calling for 8-10" of rain and a 10-20' storm surge.

    U-G-L-Y.

Think about what you would put in an "emergency kit" and put it in your car. You might need to leave or move abruptly.

Apparently I'm in Irene's path as well. Category 2 when it hits RI, CT, MA, and NH. Category 1 when it hits ME. They are expecting over 10 inches of rain from the coast to Canada.
