    The hood, gangstas

So after I finished installing the intake, I noticed something weird with the hood. I don't know if it was like this before the intake, but I doubt that installation caused this. The hood is not level with the car when it's in the locked down position. The driver's side is raised up a few mm and the passenger side is lowered about the same amount. This only happens on about 1/2 of the hood, towards the front of the car. Anyone know what causes this, or how to fix?

    From driver's side corner:

From passenger's side in front of corner:

    Same but from the side:

Whoa, that's way off! Anyone lean on it while open? I would open and close slowly and see if something is hitting, or bent maybe.

It opens and closes just fine as far as I can tell. No one's touched it that I've seen. When I close it, I always bring the hood down as far as possible and I push the roundel down to lock it shut. I wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't in there doing something.

This was caused by the airbox install, and my failure to close the hood properly afterwords. I just went out there to play with the lights and show my roommate the hood. It was locked closed but the little black hood opener lever was 1/2 sticking out the front of the grille. I think it's a tight fit with the extra air scoop in there next to the hood release. When I popped it, the hood physically moved upward, which I haven't noticed happening before (just the little black lever pops out). So I opened it, then closed it with more pressure on the side with the airbox. I must have not been pressing hard enough, because before it was locked but not latched all the way down. Now the hood is even again and the little black lever isn't popping out. I guess don't be afraid to shut your hood with authority after putting this in.

I don't know if it was slightly out of place or what, but it's closed now and seems fine. Marcus - can you confirm from the frontal and side pictures that this is how it should look? Other than the extra scoop it's like the exact same dimensions are the stock airbox.

Tampa, my hood is perfectly flush. There are no gaps.

Perhaps check to see if the little rubber stoppers (near the radiator) need to be adjusted.
