    You can often trim a few mm off the hub of the wheel with no problems.

    The guy I've been talking to about this shaved off the hub at a machine shop.
    It was to his BBS Lm's (M fitment)... the owner contacted BBS and asked what the safe limit was to shave off... they said "6mm".

    Damn....great info there. I can't believe BBS would come out and say that from a liability standpoint.

    It must have been something they knew for a fact, otherwise they wouldn't have said it. I'm sure 6mm isn't a big deal for the integrity of the wheel...

    Also keep in mind, BBS makes high quality wheels, not cheap rubbish. A cheap wheel probably would've been compromised by that much shaving, but a high strength, high quality wheel like a BBS probably won't be affected enough.

    It may have 6mm on that particular wheel but it may be only 2mm on another wheel. All depends on material, wheel design, original offset, etc.
