    Just sayin hello

Hey ZHP Mafia! Some of you know me, but for those that don't, I'm Justin.

I bought my '00 Orient Blue 328i last May, after my 20th birthday, with 102k on the clock, for $8k on the road from a used dealership. It had no maintenance history, but it felt tight ran with no issues. DSC light was on, but I made the dealer fix that before I left for WVU...Turns out it needed new sensors and ended up costing him $750 at BMW of Bel Air.
I knew that there were gonna be some wear items coming up, but the Cooling Overhaul had been completed sometime before purchase so I'll deal with that at 120k.
Things I've completed after purchase on my own:
-Stalled at red lights and couldn't keep idle, reverted to safe mode (popped P0340): new OEM Intake Camshaft Position Sensor from Advance Auto
-Radiator puller fan stuck on highest setting after shutdown: new fan from AutohausAZ
-Failed Attempt of A pillar felt repair: 3M Glue and black dupli-color
-Smoked corners, smoked side markers and matte black grills (danewilson77 over at bf.c)
    -aFe Panel Filter (UUC)
    -M54B30 Intake Manifold swap
-Replaced Upper and Lower Intake Boots (Pelican Parts)
-Oil leak on exhaust side of cylinder head: Replaced Valve Cover Gasket (Pelican Parts)
-Cold weather stumble and poor MPG during city driving: Replaced VANOS seals (Besian systems)
    -ZHP weighted shift knob
-Painted Highbeam Bowls: Yellow Krylon Stained Glass Spray Paint
-Overfilled expansion tank, ruined the seal between upper radiator hose and elbow joint: New Upper Radiator hose (Pelican Parts)

    Enough talking...here's some pics!
    Stock as can be:

    M54B30 Manifold

    Valve Cover Gasket/ VANOS Job

    Painting Headlights

    ZHP Knob

Next step is to refresh the interior properly- Dealer pillar covers, floor mats, center console, looking to replace the Myrle Wood Trim with Birch and restore the seats and door cards with Leatherique. Then I have to replace my Oil Filter Housing Gasket; nice mess in my honeycombs, and complete my Cooling Overhaul.

I'm pretty well versed in the ways of the M52TUB2X, so if you have any questions let me know!

Hi Hornung. I now have to remember your first name is Justin.
Cool place here. Very different from the usual hangout with a greater breadth of topics covered.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm liking the 'exclusivity' aspect of the site while it's still in its infancy.
