    I am one that goes a different way because I like to push the limits to the edge... have you considered a used camera that is maybe 1-2 generations old? I asked because I have guided some friends into doing this. Say you have a 1,000 dollar budget. Spending less on a body and getting 1-2 quality lenses will yield better results than a brand spanking new camera with a kit lens. Granted you may find yourself in a situation where you have to work a little bit harder for the shot you want. Just another option out there. I am still shooting a pair of 40Ds right now. *edit* Don't know why I said they had been replaced twice... neither has broken.



    Also as a random side note. This photog subforum is nice. Chill and relaxed with quality discussions going on. I like it.

    ^ he's right. Glass makes more difference than camera body. Thats how I was taught.

    yeah I think it's the person behind the camera that makes the difference first and foremost but after that, some quality glass can really help you do stuff you wouldn't be able to without it.
