    Hard Wax v. Soft Wax

    Hey Mafia,

Stupid question incoming: is the only difference between hard and soft wax the longevity and ease of application? For instance, the soft wax is easier to work with but won't last as long? Or the hard wax is easier to get a thin film and then lasts slightly longer?

Just wondering. I'm about to buy some wax for my black sapphire. Dodo Juice, probably.

    Best,
    Peter

I was going to get either Hard Candy or the Purple Haze. They seem suitable...

Did I miss something? I never saw a conclusion or a later comparison after time. They both seemed to be about the same, right?

    Both hard AND soft

I use Dodo Juice Hard and Dodo Juice Soft when waxing the car. Since I have a black car, I use the appropriate wax for it.

    Dodo Juice Blue Velvet first:

    Dodo Juice Purple Haze second:
    http://www.detailedimage.com/Dodo-Ju...P237/30-ml-S2/

Make no mistake, 30ml Pots will go A LONG WAY!! I was gonna get the larger ones but ended up with the 30ml pots and after two wax sessions, I still have about 3/4 left of each.

Look at the 4 or 8 pot kits to really bring out your color: (Great price BTW for these kits)

    http://www.detailedimage.com/Dodo-Ju.../8-x-30-ml-S1/ <- 8 pot

I really have no idea what I am doing

Even thought they are for dark, do they still leave that white wax dust?

ya that is why i said it only went up to the 48 hour mark

i like you found them to be the same but that the application process was different
just thought that the pictures would bring light to the point that they are minutely different in their results (from what i see)

i personally use soft, but not because i think it is better
but because thats what ive always used

If done properly, nope. In fact, if done improperly, no. haa I haven't found where I have a white residue, unless it was with my polish. I still haven't found a polish that I like that DOESN'T leave a residue for some reason. Then again, it is usually 100 degrees in the shade, in the garage when I am working on the car and my sections dry SUPER fast. Maybe when it cools down I won't have that problem. I haven't tried a dodo juice polish yet, but if it is half as good as the waxes then it should be pretty awesome.

Monkey should be the one to jump in here and tell you about the haze or dust. I am referring to the haze when I am talking though. Is that what you meant?

I really have no idea what I am doing
