Thread: Spare tire?

    Spare tire?

I'm in the market for a ZHP for my wife, who currently drives a 330i with 200,000 miles on it. Is the spare tire the same size as the front tire? Is the spare tire wheel the same as the other four (except size?).
    Thanks

Yes, I have a donut. Hmmm, donuts. But would that space fit a front or a rear? I recall hearing something about it being a tight fit, so I'm guessing that maybe it would fit a front only?

The space is prob designed for whatever the '98 328 wore, not for a 18"x8.5"

Funny I was just wondering if a style 135 would fit. I currently have a standard 17" sport package wheel in the trunk (fits fine). But it sounds like a donut was stock. Does any know if a full sized spare was optional?

Don't think it was on ZHP...

So do most of you have the donut? I have an extra rear tire in decent condition and was thinking of mounting it as a spare. Perhaps 255/35/18 is too big to fit. (easier to post her than try it to see...) #brainsnotbrawn

From what I recall, that might be a tad too large for the spare wheel well. A full size does fit, but I'm thinking smaller. Someone who knows definitively will chime in I'm sure.

Depending on wheel/tire combo a 235-18 MIGHT fit. I was not able to get either a front or rear to fit in my trunk (Dunlop Direzza), therefore my spare is a style 68 17"x7.5" with Pilot Super Sport
