    Radio Disabled

    Guys I need your help!

Yesterday I began installing my iPod Interface which of course required disconnected the battery. Long story short, I could finish the installation until this evening. Put everything back, connected the battery and now I have a "disable" message on my radio. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I think you may have a K-bus problem. What brand ipod interface did you use? Try disconnecting it and see if your radio comes back.

Unlike the older BMW radios that needed a code to be unlocked, the E46 radio just uses the K-bus to verify it belongs where it is....at least this is my understanding.

well, try disconnecting it and see if your radio comes back to life, or making sure all your connections are good. my radio would read "disabled" if i reconnected the battery while the radio was off of the K-bus.

    do your blinkers work correctly?
