Been checking e46f.c, but no luck yet, but there are some out there so you may want to look into it. And Dane, great idea on the modbargins... I'm thinking I might do that. Any thing you hear about these reps that says we shouldn't use them as our daily wheels? Worst case, I'd still have my 2 rears that are OEM if I needed to switch back.
why not go 18x8.5 all the way around? i guess the tires are a little harder to come by tho?

I guess I could (the tires are more expensive but not dramatically). I think I was under the impression that 8.5 in the fronts would need spacers, which I didn't want to do. Do you know differently?

I don't know for certain, due to the offset it's possible. i haven't done any reading or research into the subject matter; however, if you have a jack, go throw them on there and see how it rolls. i've actually never read of anyone doing either. do you think you'd need a spacer not rub on the struts, or to clear the brakes?

Spacer would probably be needed to avoid rubbing on the inside. Spacers are no biggie. You just gotta buy quality built ones.

of the wheel well? is something a hammer can't fix? a small spacer should be no biggy as long as you get a quality built one.

i was gonna say if you really wanted 8" all the way around i'd trade my fronts and take your 8-1/2"s and deal with the spacers, but you're in So cal....beat.

I'd consider that deal, but my wheels are chromed. IDK about spacers, so many people use them but there are schools of thought that say never ever us them. I'm guessing that's for track, and I don't track my car, so it might be overkill for me to stay away from them.

EDIT: Forgot to add, even on the Turner website they say don't use 10" spacers.
