LOL, didn't realize I did that, thanks Eli!

What size would be recommended for running the rear wheels on the front?

    From Turner:
A note about 10mm spacers: Any 10mm spacer is considered a custom fitment. The stock hubcentric lip on BMWs can stick out by as much as 11mm. This leaves a gap between the spacer and the hub which seriously compromises safety. We recommend using a larger spacer (12mm and larger do not have this issue) or check that the lip sticks out less than 10mm.

You could easily run a 10 to 15mm spacer with the 8.5" rear wheels mounted in front.

The point Turner is making is only true if you buy a spacer that doesn't have a hub extension built into it.

    You want this:

    Not this:

    See the difference?

Now it sounds like we're looking for 4 wheels in either size. Seems most likely we'll get two fronts and two backs, tho, so I guess we'll just have to work out who gets which.

No problem John. A lot of this is just trial & error. See if it works or fits and if not, change it back or try something else.

Makes sense. Any thoughts as to what size spacer to start with? Is there a way for me to calculate? Or, is it as simple as, added .5" on the wheel so the spacer should be .5" (or just under in mm)?

Just measure. If you think 10mm will fit, get a 15mm....hehe.

Turner also has some good advice on figuring out what will fit.

I had read that, but thanks for providing the info. I guess I literally have to put the rear wheel on the front and measure it to see what I need. It would seem that someone with a ZHP has already put 8.5s on the front an would know what was needed.
