    rear window rattle

When i'm bumping my tunes, and this happened in my e36, i get vibrations after bass in the trunk. Some of it is attributed to crappy bmw speakers, but even when i turn off my music i get rattle when driving over bumps. anyone have a solution? I was going to have the rear window gasket replaced for this. Like $90 bucks, not a whole lot of money. yay or nay guys?

hermes posted a major DIY for fixing the rear deck/window rattle issues. it involves taking out the whole back seat, deck, speakers, and putting in padding. check out the DIY forum.

i'm still on the fence about the rattle issue myself. whether or not it really bothers me that much to go through all that work.

the rattle i'm more concerned with at the moment is the one coming from the engine bay...

The gasket won't solve the rattle, the most expensive part of my fix is the filler (~$20)
