Where can I find the list of options I can get activated by the coding machines at dealers/mechanics?

I saw it a while ago and can't find it for the life of me..

    Thanks in advance!

If you want, we could meet up and I could do it for you for free. Plus other stuff the dealer can't do.

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.

Really? I'm scheduled to drop my car off tomorrow at 8 in the morning.. what else could you do? Btw, I'm going through an independent mechanic, not the stealership.

Well I can't do anything for you tomorrow before 8 in the morning, but we can work something out. lol
Just to name a few of the things...

*Any* of the things the dealer can do plus a lot more:
Disable that stupid beep when you open your door with the key in the ignition
    Roll up windows with remote
Halogen highbeams on with Xenon highs
    Foglights on with highbeams
Disable clutch check (you don't have to push clutch in to start car)
    Disable DRL's
    Activate alarm (you want this)
Auto lock doors after x mph
Single or double press unlock button on remote
    Double impulse hazards (double blink)
And a bunch of other things. Tell me what you want and I can *probably* do it. It'll give me an excuse to meet another Mafioso.

How much is the indy charging you? It *could* be worth it to to go there if they're charging you a very low fee like $20 or something.

Hmm.. I only really want to get the alarm activated and do the auto lock doors function activated, which the mechanic can do for me. I got a quote for $150ish for all that plus removing my CDV and I think I'll go with the mechanic. I must say, though, that I'm genuinely appreciative of the offer. I just don't want to drive up 2-3 hours and back and I have a lot of things planned this weekend (which is the earliest I could go). Again, thanks so much for the offer; I'm amazed at the closeness of this community (and I don't even feel all that 'established' here!).

Go thru that list of E46 car/key prefs to which I posted a link above. There's all kinds of stuff you can customize, including many underrated HVAC settings.
