I got them mostly for looks. I don't like the dumbo-ear look of the stock mirrors. Also eliminates the noise that the stock mirrors made when the wind swooped through them.
Still, who am I kidding? I got them because they just look better.

Nothing besides they are more rounded in shape compared to our squared ones. Might help if your going 155+ mph tho
I like my mirrors... The ///M3 mirrors look too much like every mirror on every other car out there to me.

I wish the OEM M3 mirrors fit the sedan properly.
I think either mirror looks good and its really just a pers pref thing...

I agree that on a coupe M3 looks right, on sedans I prefer the square basic look of stock units.
+2000. Someone did a decent job mounting mine but never bothered to hook it up properly. Poor motor moves but the mirror doesn't. I wouldn't know where to begin looking...
I know there is some ribbon cable modding to done from what I quickly read a while ago, and that alone just makes it not worth it to me. But, one of these days, when the weather gets nicer, I'll look into fixing it, because M3 mirrors are FTW in the looks department. Makes the car look years younger just by doing that.
I actually had someone asking me "is this a new car"?, and they actually meant off-the-lot new.
