Ayyyyy
Ayyyyy
Alright so Justin helped me put in my Bi-Xenons tonight. They work great, are bright as shit, and I'm pretty sure are aimed a bit high so I will need to level them so people stop hating me.
The install was super easy and didn't have any issues. hahaha jk nothing with this car goes according to plan.
Spent a good 5 minutes trying to pop my hood. It got stuck and refused to open. The inner bolts holding the headlight on the car were a bit of a pain, but they eventually came out. The bracket holding the headlight in needed to be altered. A dremel and saw were used to get rid of the extra piece blocking the spot for the ballast. The new headlights went in, tried to connect them but one of the connectors for the inner bowl on the driver side was refusing to clip in. We just swapped that old inner bulb housing for the one in my old halogens and it finally worked.
It was too fucking cold and too late to work on wiring the shutters for the bi-xenons, so that will be done another day. Right now I'm just happy to actually have headlights that let me see at night.
Big thank you to Vas for lending me an LCM he had that came from an M3. It worked great, although it has a few quirks.
The LCM thinks the car is an M3, so it changes my tail lights a bit. The brake lights on my RCR's are always on, and when the brakes are pressed, the lights get brighter. I have LED's in the brake lights, so they are super bright all the time. The bottom lights don't light up at all, since an M3 doesn't technically have them. It looks silly as shit right now but again I'm thrilled to get this working.
