    Coupe window question

I noticed something odd when driving to work yesterday.

When I roll down the windows in my coupe, the driver's side window retracts fully into the door. I.e. I can't see any glass sticking up beyond the rubber. But that's not the case on the passenger's side. When I roll that one down all the way, there is about 1/4 of an inch of glass visible. Another way to put it: with both windows rolled down all the way, if the driver and the passenger both rested their elbow out the window (in the usual way), the driver would have his elbow resting on the rubber of the window sill, but the passenger would have his elbow on the top of the window glass.

Is this normal? I'll try to snap a couple cell phone pics later today if the above isn't clear.

That is different than my car, which seems odd b/c mine is also an 04 ZHP coupe. My windows both leave about 1/4" of glass exposed when rolled down to their lowest point.

I'll check mine out (vert), but IIRC, mine both roll down all the way.

You could try re-calibrating the windows-- roll window all the way down, then roll all the way up while holding the switch in the up position. Continue to hold in the up position for 20-30 seconds.

Reading through the Bentley, there is a procedure to perform window adjsutment. It should tell you the spec in there.

Never heard of this Keith. I will have to give this a try on my ///M since I have the same issue with my passenger's side window.

That is a window adjustment issue. Here is the full BMW guide on how to adjust it.
