Can wheels be too light for a daily driver

I am thinking of getting the Kosei K4Rs in 17x8.5 square set-up once my current tires wear out. They weigh 15.4 lbs. Wondering if anyone uses lightweight wheels on a daily basis and if you have problems with them getting bent or damaged.

If they are lightweight and not made of a strong lightweight material, then yes they will bend and or crack very easily.

Kosei makes an excellent wheel and as long as you don't like to park by feel and avoid the grand canyon type of pot hole they will work just fine. You can bend any rim if the hole is big enough and you are going fast enough.

They're at least low-press cast/flow formed, better than just a plain cast wheel. I'd look for a forged wheel, but for the price and weight I'd be super tempted to give these a shot.

I have the Kosei K1s which are 15lbs each. Of course I only have 16s which gives me more cushion. I have had them about five years with no issue.

I had 17" Kosei's on my prelude with 205/40 tires (skinnnny, like 1" of sidewall) and never bent one. Had them for about 3 years. I'm very careful what I roll over tho...

One of my friends is running 17 K1s on his e46xi with no problems. I even think he picked up a second set for winter duty.

I saw this post and immediately thought of the discussion about the K1s on Kyle's car at the Family Reunion.
