    Valve Cover Gasket

Hey guys, im looking at a e46 325 that has the following problem

"I just changed the valve cover gasket, and it's still leaking, so it needs a new valve cover, because it is warped and still leaking a little oil."

Is this a easy fix? Let me know what you think.

    Thanks

Does the person mean that the valve cover itself is warped, or that the gasket is warped? If it's the cover, just get a new cover would be my suggestion. If it's the gasket, you could reuse it, but it would be wise to get a new one. The thing with the gasket is that, from what I've seen, it needs to be carefully inserted into the grooves on the cover so it seats properly.

Either way, both are pretty easy for your average mechanic.

This. Is the valve cover warped, or is the head maybe warped?

Either way, I'd have all kinds of warning flags going up.

Dont know, I shall ask him this.

Im looking at this one which has 130k miles on it and said problem, interior not so great.

Or a 323i that has tons of maintenance done, but it has 172k miles on it... i dunno.

    I need a DD horny.

    Ah thanks Ryan!

I really like the 323i. Me and the guy have been talking for a couple weeks trying to figure how we could meet.

The 172k miles scares me a little lol
