DIY: Trunk Lid Liner Removal doityourself

I was searching for a trunk liner removal guide to remove the XM radio cables that are routed to my trunk lid. I found this on E46f.com:

I'll be sure to take some of my own photos to add to this thread if anything is different for the sedan. I'll most likely be looking to either sell the XM radio receiver/Blitzsafe adapter or reroute the antenna wart of my trunk lid to beneath the window or something a little less obtrusive.

The goal of this DIY for me was to get rid of the XM radio wart on the trunk lid:

    Step 1:
Open the trunk and use prying tools or a flat head screw driver to remove the plastic rivets. You'll be able to reuse the rivets. You'll need to use two prying tools or two flat heads to remove the rivets in the recessed holes.

    Step 2:
Remove the two screws that are covered in carpet material right below the tool kit.

    Step 3:
Unscrew the tool kit, remove the strap that holds the tool kit onto the trunk lid and remove.

    Step 4:
Remove the trunk latch for if you get locked inside I couldn't figure this part out so I just let the trunk liner hang while I hide the XM receiver beneath the trunk liner so it wouldn't be visible on the trunk lid.

    Step 5:
    Reverse.

    After:

Here are the before and after photos of the black kidney grill mod I just did as well.
