Spoke too soon about the soundsync BT reciever. It no longer powers up now. I'm contacting Anker for warranty replacement.

Anker is shipping out a new BT receiver.

I took today off and did a few maintenance items.

    1. Smog.
    2. Oil Change.
    3. Transmission Fluid change.

Smog was simple and easy. Oil change as well. Transmission fluid felt weird putting in ATF in there but that's what Redline recommends!

On another note, my thermostat is starting to be funny. The past couple of days, I noticed my temp needle was lower than usual. It was visuably lower because of the temp buffer mod that Terra provided instructions for. http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=1013600

I setup the test menu while on my commute and on menu 7.0, it has been reading 75C-80C. It would never reach 90C where I normally would see it. My cooling system has been in the car for 50k and about 7 years so I think it's time for a refresh.

Of course today while testing, the temp is back to normal at 90C. It is definitely failing and it's time to order maintenance parts.

My gauge hangs around at 80C, so i just ordered expansion tank, thermostat, temp sensor at left radiator line, etc and the needle sits top dead center over the last 3500 continuous miles (drove from CA to Boston).

Unless you have your temp gauge corrected, top dead center is anywhere between 75 and 115 degrees Celcius. Huge range, so TDC doesn't really mean anything with a stock-coded temp gauge unfortunately.

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.

Agreed. 75-115C is too large of a range to figure out what is going on. I really like the change where 110C is redline. It allows for a quick reaction, than 120C to 3/4th.

The past few days, the thermostat is showing around 85-90C so it's working normally as can be. I will continue to monitor it until I can order the cooling system refresh parts. I'm hoping my new commuter comes in before that so I don't have to rush getting this done.
