I am getting the P0444 as well, mtnman i commented on your post as well. People say it's like a 90% chance it's the fuel tank breather valve that needs to be replaced, but others say you need to diagnose before jumping to any conclusions. I can check the gas cap, but i don't really know how else to diagnose the issue. Thoughts?

Did you replace the gas cap and reset codes?

To diagnose my fuel filler vent tube I used a smoker and hooked it to the gas fill tube. You can also remove the Back right wheel well liner and visually inspect it.

I haven't checked the gas cap yet, and I will reset codes after i replace engine components and inspect for a couple lean codes I am getting. Hopefully its just me not tightening the gas cap fully after my last fill; that could be the reason the PPI didn't read that code.

It’s pretty hard not to get it on correctly, but it could be old and worn/deteriorated. Again I hope it’s an easy find/fix. I thru lots of parts at it before finding my issue —smoked it out...
