Just a thought - the leak I noticed is right at one of the center bolts holding down the valve cover, the closest one to the front. Is it possible the rubber 'valve cover seal washer' on this one bolt is bad and causing the leak? I'm going to pull that bolt and replace the washer, then see if the oil comes back.
