Title Clause: In hopes for a quick sale, my asking price has dropped again to $13,500 or best offer however, I want the buyer to be aware that there is a lien on the title by my local credit union (State Department Federal Credit Union) which means the balance has to be paid off first! In lieu of a sale a contract can be written stating (depending on method of payment) that “once certified/bank check (or cash) has cleared, car will be turned over to the possession of the buyer and the title will be forwarded to buyer by State Department Federal Credit Union”. Obviously, if paid in cash I have no problem turning over the keys, writing up a bill of sale and have the title mail directly to the buyer.
