The battery needs to be replaced and Im reading that the convertible requires a different battery because of fitment and other things. I looked up everstart maxx 94rn but cant find it on wal-marts website. What battery can I get for the car?
autozone recommends either of these two:

From the Bentley Manual. Section 541-1:
"CONVERTIBLE BATTERY -
BMW has designed a special Convertible battery tray with link rods which serve to dampen body flexing and vibration.
CAUTION: The E46 Convertible requires a special battery which is designed for constant vibration. A battery not designed for this will fail much earlier."
"Type 94R Duralast battery from Autozone fits perfectly in the vert."

im not finding any type 94R from duralast or everstart. Those threads are 2 years old
