    Noice!

I second the motion of getting the fresh air duct plumbed through. dremel, jig saw, or drill a hole + a hacksaw should all get you there with varying levels of pain in the assness.

Also encourage you to put that k&n filter in the trash can and find a similar sized paper element or non-oiled element - at least in my experience they're no good for our MAF sensors.

I tried to do the ducting on the first one I made, but I just didn't have the proper tools available to get a nice clean cut so I ended up scrapping it. When I make the stage II intake, it will have the full ducting available. In the mean time if I can get a hold of a dremel I will set this one up too.

As for the filter, I have been running K&N's for a long time and never had an issue. The first thing I do when I get one is use the cleaning kit to remove all the oil, then re-oil it my self with the proper amount so its not dripping wet like it is when you first get it.

Never had an issue ever, no codes no nothing.

One question that I just thought about. I am going to guess that the silver box attached to the fender is the HID ballast. Does this absolutely need to be moved in order to install the heat shield or is it moved because of your filter placement?

I have aftermarket HID/Projectors on my car. That just happens to be where I chose to mount the ballast. If your car has OEM projectors with HID you do not need to move anything.

Pretty cool, I was going to do a heat shield on my car. But I didn't expect to take so long to turbo the car.

I have had a lot of people ask me what the intake sounds like. Well I was out and about the other day and used my phone to record some videos. Not the best sound, but you will get some of an idea.
