From BMWMafia - OE BMW Seat Belt Holder - By mikeyb74

I picked up a pair of the OE BMW seat belt holders because I am tired of the seat belts having issues. Getting twisted from me and passengers wearing winter jackets. So I installed both holders and the first time I go to use the seat belt the hook portion that the belt sits snapped off and then the passenger side hook snapped when my passenger went to use the seat belt. It seems that these are not designed to work in either a sedan or wagon. I think it would work better in a coupe. So I am very unhappy. Luckily BMW has a 1yr warranty on accessories.

    BMW claims "Make it more comfortable to drive your BMW. This genuine BMW part fits E38 E39 E46 E53 E60 E61 E63 E65 E66 E70 E83 E83N E90 and E91."

Hanger installed and holder portion missing.

Holder installed with seat belt twisting.

Here are some pics off the holders off the seats. The hinges are made out of thin plastic so every time you go to pull the belt the holder portion flies off.

I really wish these worked out. I returned them as defective.

Take my word for it, they don't work any better on a coupe! Can't believe BMW would sell such junk. I know I had read a negative review of these from somebody but I noticed they had a new part number so I was hoping they updated the design......apparently not. I thought about trying to make a camera mount out of one of them but I might have to do the same and return them. Junk I tell ya.....junk. :-)
