I have a D40 I was looking to sell and upgrade to a D90 soon, I personally bought it off craigslist myself and the body has roughly only 5000 actuations / shutter count. Comes with a 18-55mm Nikkor lense. Throw something out there not including shipping

    Thanks for the reply pleasecorrupt.
Is this a D40 or a D40x? (Either is OK)
. I really don't have any experience with DSLRs, and their used prices. It would be great if you could PM me with a suitable price for the item and then I will let you know if that's in the range I am looking at. I think you'll be able to suggest a price better than me as you already know DSLRs and their prices...
Thanks - I'll wait for the PM.

Yeah i saw that - way over my budget, although I am sure that's a great price for someone who can afford it. Thanks Marcus.

Wasn't sure, Wash. Just wanted to make sure you saw it if you were interested. Good luck on the search.

Thanks to all the help and feedback.

I found a D40 with the kit lens (Nikkor 18-55) locally for $300 and bought it yesterday...near mint condition..
Still playing with it....have to get used to not having live view, but it's all for the good, I am sure...
