    Angry Complain here...

I just want to complain. At no point in my ZHP's life (with me) has it EVER been as dirty as it is now. It is literally disgusting. The winter storms, the sand, the salt, the grime, it is caked on the car. I can only IMAGINE the damage I'm going to do to it when I gingerly remove all of it. When will I remove it? NO IDEA!

I won't even speak about the interior.

Also, my commute takes me up the New Jersey Turnpike. If there's a threat of snow, the salt trucks start spreading huge chunks of salt at around 6 a.m., just when I get on it. They drive in the right lane and shoot this crap across the entire highway. They're driving at around 40 m.p.h., shooting the rocks of salt out at about 100, and you have to drive by at over 50. This all = amazingly large rock chips in the front of the car, guaranteed.

And the noise. The noise of the salt hitting the car haunts me. It HAS to be like experiencing a drive-by. Not that I know, but it stands to reason...

SO here's the plan. Springtime will = body shop time. Fix the dings, the spot the car was keyed, respray the MtechII, refinish my wheels, and on goes the damn clearbra.

Question: if they respray the MtechII with fresh Imola-2, how does that match the Imola on my car which has "aged" invariably with time, weather, sun, etc...?

I have a clear bra (I mean the car has it)...BUT the rest of the car is DIRTY! (exterior)
AND my wheels are SO dirty -
BUT my interior is squeaky clean....
SO, I am going to get it detailed soon, BUT I might clean the wheels myself before that....

I have a winter beater so when there's snow/salt i drive that, BUT i still drive the BMW when it's sunny, so i am sure it has gotten SOME salt on it...the white color probably hides it better...
    I feel ya though - it's painful.

My car has been driven through salt and winters since 2002. Proper summer AND winter cleaning is the only key to make it look it's best.

FYI - When I got my front end repainted from rock-chips. The body shop had a computer that analyze the paint to match it perfectly (from fading and everything). Red is the second hardest color to match. Can you guess the first?
